The Irish Society for the Study of Children's Literature (ISSCL) / An Cumann Éireannach um Staidéar ar Litríocht na nÓg

 

Purpose

The purpose of the society is to promote academic research into children's literature. Its membership is open to scholars both from Ireland and other countries. It welcomes members from a wide range of disciplines: literature, history, education, psychology, sociology, women's studies, and fine arts. It thus seeks to foster an inter-disciplinary approach to the study of children's literature.

 

Activities

The society's principal activities will involve the organisation of conferences and seminars, and the publication of work on children's literature.
